Inspiration From Family, Friends And Life

Contributions to everything I do

I am inspired by so many more things than just those listed here, I find new inspirations all of the time. but these are a few that stand out.

Family

My biggest inspiration comes from my sister, someone I look up to and listen to, she helps keep me pointed in the right direction.(God knows I need it) She gives me confidence to be who I am. She is my best friend. And my sister has shown me a peaceful future through the birth of my beautiful niece. Tiny Feet"

I am also constantly inspired by my mother and her courageous efforts and improvement since her accident in 2001 when she fell and sustained a brain injury. She is inflicted with a speech disorder called Aphasia. I have a link to the site dedicated to this on my home page.

Life in general offers so many inspirations. I learn things all of the time through relationships, jobs and even things I just witness or hear. You got to leave your mind open for it all, because like the great Ernest Hemingway once said, "In order to write about life, first you must live it."

One of the most difficult things for me to get through in life is dealing with mental barriers I have acquired from a childhood illness and a disability I cannot shake. I have learnt to overcome many obstacles, but can still find difficulties from time to time, and when I get frustrated and feel weak I have turned to music. One song, my personal anthem, that gets to me and helps to lift me up is by Avril Lavigne and is called Take Me Away

Others

Books of inspiration. These ones gave me confidence in what I do with regards to my writing

I listened to Michael Jackson growing up, and still enjoy all of his songs and videos, dance and lyrics. He was and always will be the ultimate in inspiring.

One of my favorite authors, a true genius of the written word, in mind anyway, is the master behind the 7 Harry Potter tales, Jk Rowling.

A very beautiful dance by an amazing talent, Jeanine Mason

Two of the best science Fiction Female characters ever produced on screen have to be 'LeeLou' from the Fifth Element and 'River Tam' from Firefly/Serenity. They also both happen to be in two of the best big scene fight scenes. Leelou in the Fifth Element,   River Tam in Serenity.

An up and coming amazing actress is Chloe Moretz aka Hit Girl from the movie Kick Ass. If my book series "Chronicles of a Girl" ever becomes a future movie production, I believe this Chloe is my main character, Chloe Anderson.

A Canadian Poet with Beautiful and amazing words to share. Shane Koyczan A couple of my favorite works of his is are:

One of the most creative minds out there today has to be Joss Whedon. He is supremely creative with his television shows, 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer', 'Angel', 'Firefly', (later the big screen hit, 'Serenity') and 'Dollhouse'. He also has a knack for getting amazing actors. His series on 'Buffy TVS' was brilliantly written. One of my favorite characters Joss created was played by Summer Glau, she played "River Tam" in the series called Firefly and then the movie Serenity Joss Whedon is definately a creative inspiration.

Other musical favourites include: 'Lights', 'Bryan Adams', 'Sarah Mclachlan', 'Amanda Marshall', .... huh, all Canadian.:)
