Chronicles of a Girl

A Dramatic Fiction.

This is the story of a young girl named Chloe who was born into a land of misfortune and demise. No one could foresee the change and impact that would follow.....

As a very capable and spirited young girl, Chloe Anderson is determined to get through any obstacles thrown her way in order to get to a life of happiness. Her only problem is that the degrees of difficulty seem to be never ending. Everyday she wakes up wondering what nightmare lay ahead; and questioning whether or not there really is a light at the end of the tunnel. Regardless of herself though, for the sake of others, she keeps alive the hope and vows to never give in.

But with the haunting of a war before her time, the grueling and undying present, and an unknown future, is she in fact capable enough??

Chronicles of a Girl tells the tale of a young girl growing up on the wrong side of the tracks and learning how to overcome and survive. Issues such as domestic abuse and the roles of women in society are used as story lines.

The aftermath of a war shows us how a country becomes segregated, people are treated in manners of their status or sex, with times reverting back to when women were considered only as household maids and obedient objects, and men were the providers and tough lawmakers. The girl is both physically and emotionally abused by some of the people around her. The book can be somewhat graphic and sad and dark in areas; as much as it can be fun, adventurous and uplifting.

This first book of a series to come goes through Chloe's coming of age, the trials and tribulations she has to deal with, and her survival through it all.
